Vining

Jackson and Rachel Vining are from the second marriage of Samuel Vining by Jane McBride. The Vining children were the 1/2 siblings to Drucilla Evans sister Tabitha Evans who was the first wife of Samuel. Thomas W. Glover father of Thomas J. and Rachel Glover married the Vining siblings. Thomas W. Glover is the brother of Drucilla Evans.

Thomas died during the WBTS. Rachel moved to Macon Georgia and is buried there as it Jennie Brown her daughter.

* Mary McBride is listed as his 3rd wife. Although he married her in Jun 1833, information that looked up in a book about the Vinings, by Dorthea Vining Barnes lists the children from Rachel on down as from Jane McBride. My ancestor, Jackson Lafayette is also listed from Jane McBride which 2nd wife. If you look at the date he was born, well it raises some questions. So you make want to take this info with a grain of salt. I am working on verifying this so any info you have would be great.
