In the will of John P. Glover, William was residing in Barbour County, Alabama as of September 12, 1862.

Land transactions.

Barbour County, Al.

Selling to John G. Cowen :

100 acres more or less, lying in the North part of the S.W. one fourth of section 13, Township Twelve, Range Twenty nine.
This was bought from Franklin Cowan, brother of John G., and Samuel and Mary McBride. This sale was dated December 6, 1850, and the selling price was four hundred dollars.

This property is located just a few miles north of Eufaula, Alabama, near what is now known as highway 165

William J. B. Mc Bride served as a Private "Southern Rifles", Co. D, 3rd Regiment Inf. Volunteers and was killed in 1862. Notice published by the Union Springs Herald, Sept. 1905.

1910 Census for Dale County Alabama shows Mary age 83 living in the household of William L. Casey. William was the husband of her niece Melissa Glover, daughter of Mary Jane Glover McBride's brother Nathan O'Neal Glover.

Widow's Application filed in Bullock County, Alabama Mary Jane Glover McBride states she is the widow of W. J. McBride, her said husband was a private in company D of the 3rd Alabama and he did not desert. That she was on the 13th day of Feb. 1891 and that her taxable property consisted of Eighty acres of land and is not worth the aggergate more than 500 dollars per year. 15 May 1897. The application was approved.

Union Springs, Al. Sept. 25 1907 she states she is over the age of 80.
